Hey look, I'm going to complain about a few things again. SHOCKER!
Yesterday I went to Walmart, and on the way home I passed my gas station. $3.81. Right when I got home, the gas light came on. On my way into down for dinner, I pulled in to put in some liquid gold. Now, normally the gas prices change on Tuesday. Wasn't yesterday Friday? Yep. Less than five hours later, $3.97. And that's the cheapest in town. Isn't price gouging illegal? The worst of the gas station owners decided to really go for blood and tipped the $4 mark. Assholes. Go ahead pricks, try and tell me you are keeping up with the current cost per barrel or whatever.
On another annoyed note, it was pouring here yesterday. I have two things wrong with this. The first is, it turned to snow around 7 for a while. Maybe we will all be able to hike/camp/mountain bike, whatever, by Labor Day. Maybe. The second thing is, according to my own theory which so far has not been rejected, we need a DRY summer for a killer winter. The last two major seasons (05/06, 07/08) came after very very very dry summers. The last shitty season (06/07) came after a wet summer. Bring on the drought! And trust me, we don't need any more moisture. The rivers are at record highs. So high that the US geological survey people, or whoever, sent out a team to check the reading equipment because they thought the high readings could be due to a equipment malfunction.
On a brighter note, my hummers are back in full force and it is almost warm enough to put some plants outside. Snow permitting.
I hope everyone has a good weekend, doing something fun. And a big thanks to my Pops for driving down tomorrow to take me to Salt Lake, especially since Monday is the 'rents anniversary.

there are some stations in cody which i am sure, when they hear the 'national average' has gone up, they raise their price...tuesday is usually d-day here, too, unless the news tells them to raise it sooner...fortunately, vinnie has scruples...
Hi there... Good luck in SLC (even though you are probably back.. sorry I didn't wish you that earlier)... I was impressed by M towns prices. Colin and I had to go up for unmentionable reasons... in public anyway. We also went to Lanes 5th b-day party, he is growing up too fast, all kids do though. Anyway, when the Wea is usually 20cents higher than anywhere here in Crapser, it was only 10cents higher this time. This has never happened before and for a time with rising prices, this was a shocker. On the weather... we have had 4.35 in of rain in May, not normal for Crapser. I have to say, there is one good side to this, it sure makes the town smell a little better and the tall weeds are covering the neighbors garbage. But if this means a bad ski season, I will take less. This winter we can go and take the big J man. We are looking forward to it and hope the weather cooperates for his first trips out on skis. Also Happy Aniversary.... belated to the Warners.
