Surprise!

I almost tossed what I thought was junk mail, but a little voice told me not to. Inside the little envelope was one kick ass surprise.... tickets to the Avett Brothers in Steamboat!!! Just yesterday I had thought to myself that I should see if tickets were still available, and then whadya know! Of course the tickets were the only thing in the envelope, so it was a little mystery at first. Now let's think.... who do I know that would want me to go see this concert as much as me? Oh that's easy, it's Amy!

Now let me tell you all the reasons why I'm psyched. First, it is at this small venue in Steamboat that is normally for classical music, but they are branching out this year, so it will be my first time at a very intimate venue. Second, we hardly ever get good music in this town. Third, how many times has Amy posted about how kick ass these guys are in concert? Fourth, I absolutely love surprises and this one is definitely the icing on my birthday cake. Fifth, Cody will be here then, so I will have somebody to take that will appreciate how cool this is as much as me.

Thanks Amy! I always tell people that you are much more than a cousin to me, you are one of my best friends and I love you to death. I wish I got to see you more, and I really wish you could be here to see this concert with me, but I promise Cody and I will toast a drink (or a few) to you and have a great time!
